Norman’s the sweetest guy in the whole world! It sounds cheesy, but it’s so totally true. I was so, so nervous when I first walked up to him, but he was so friendly and warm and genuinely glad to meet us.

He introduced himself, shook my hand (he has really warm hands), and asked for my name.

He didn’t even care when I made a huge idiot of myself when he asked how to spell my name for my poster. I’ve only ever been asked if I spell it with a c or a k (it’s Erica), and so all I said was “With a c”. And he just sort of waited for a second. I totally didn’t get it until my friend said, “Um, what about the rest of it?” and looked at me like I was a dumbass. I tried to explain what I just said up there, and he just smiled and said, “You never know, some people have like extra Es or something.” He was actually coming to my defense!

He took a photo with me after he signed the poster. After my friend took the picture, he said, “I want to make sure it’s a really good one!” My friend had no idea how to use my camera, and couldn’t find the display, so she said, “I think I broke it!” And Norman’s just like, “Aw, don’t do that!” It was the funniest thing.

I took the camera and showed him the picture. Upon seeing it, he exclaimed, “We are fucking ADORABLE!” and gave me a high five! I must’ve thanked him five or six times, but then HE THANKED US for coming!

He is honestly the most down-to-earth guy, and he really loves his fans. And seriously, he doesn’t smell like smoke at all. It was kind of weird, but good weird. I hate the smell of cigarettes. But anyway, he’s a great big sweetie, and I really hope you get to meet him someday!

I am so, so excited to meet him again in June! Not that I’m expecting anything, but I will probably die on the spot if he remembers me, even if it’s just as that girl who couldn’t spell her own name with the friend who “broke” her camera haha
